| Intro: | For 4th of July 2003 my husband bought me a point and shoot digital camera. Soon afterwards I was surprised to see Photoshop installed on our desktop, and his explanation was that I needed an extention to my hobbie. In November of the same year I found TE and spent a weekend browsing. Before I knew it my husband registered me (hence the silly nickname). He is my biggest fan. My husband has been blind for a little over 13 years (I met him after he lost his sight), and through the verbal description of each photograph he says he sees. Many of my compositions and ideas are actually guided by his 'vision.' Photography allows me ponder on the beauty and magic of our world and my fellow humans, and how individual objects fit in the universe as a whole. TE has made my world smaller and besides educating me on the art of photography it also has widen the never ending circle of friendship. In August 2004 before we left on a trip to Portugal my husband struck again surprising me with the Olympus Camedia 770UZ, recently he gave me the Olympus EVOLT E-500. We live, in Pacifica, which is 6 minutes south of San Francisco, California, but I was born in the Azores, Portugal and lived there till I was fourteen. | |
