Intro: The photographs displayed here are taken by my husband and me. The travelogues on Gaumukh and Badrinath are written by a friend, Dhruv, who accompanied us in 2006. He reached Gaumukh in 2006 while my husband and i were lying ill at Bhojbhasa due to altitude sickness. We reached Gaumukh in 2008, our second try.

It is not easy to convey the experience of being at the places we have been to in India, in words or in pictures. A photograph provides one dimension of that experience and no matter how little it is, it is invaluable in itself.

In addition, we are amateurs wrt photography and therefore, would like to know how we can improve. Therefore, our presence here.
