| Intro: | Update August 1 2008. Well I don’t get on TE as often as I would like to and my equipment has updated since I wrote the original intro a few years ago now. Well I’m a 50 year old single guy who has regained an interest in photography thanks to TrekEarth and TrekNature. It’s filled a big hole in my life and I do love this site, but I spend most of my time on TN because nature photography is what I do most. I will post here from time to time. One thing TE has done for is given me the zest to travel and I have been all over the place now. So thanks to Adam and all the contributors on TE, the world really is an amazing place. By the way, I'm now using a Pentax K100D Super and Cannon Powershot S3, but I still take the occasional shot with the old Finepix. I have been photographing for about 20 years, but recently changed to digital. I think this medium is fantastic. I'm using a Finepix S5000, though I think the compression algorithm is too severe and you tend to get grainy pictures if the light isn't perfect. Having used an SLR previously, I think the compact digital provide great flexibility. Perhaps one day I'll get a digital SLR, but not just yet. | |
