| Intro: | I am currently on a round-the-world trip with my girlfriend Sam. After leaving the UK, where we both lived, we travelled by ferry, train and bus through Eastern Europe into the Baltic States before entering Russia. We travelled on the Trans Siberian Express from Moskou to Siberia, before heading south into Mongolia and China. After spending a few weeks in China we arrived in Hong Kong from where we flew to Melbourne. We have based ourselves here for the last 5 months and are planning to continue our trip in February to Sydney, the East Coast and beyond. Throughout the trip I had my trusted Ricoh GR1, which was small enough to carry, but had a "big" enough performance to get the shots that I wanted. As weight is not so much of an issue now, I have had my Nikon F80 sent out and I can't wait to take some shots that previously were not possible with the Ricoh. I am really looking forward to download some shots onto TREKEARTH and get the feedback from the other members on what they like and do not like in my shots and more important, what I can do to improve my photography skills. **UPDATE** I am still travelling, but right now I am in New Zealand. After Melbourne we travelled for 4 months around Australia before flying here. I have not downloaded any photos since Melbourne, but have a bit more time for that now. We are leaving for the South Island in a few weeks before heading off to SE Asia and India. Watch this space... |
