I used paintshop to sharpen the photo.
I then changed Highlight +20, shadow -20.
I also added a strata type frame.

Increased Contrast and Saturation to create a more dramatic (but perhaps less natural?) effect. I tried to bring out the reddish tones of the soil. Also added an unsharp mask to show a little more definition. Finally cropped half the shown sky to reduce the feeling (for me) of a shot split down the middle. Overall happy with the outcome, but mostly due to the incredible view I started with. All done in PSP.
