- I've been interested in Photography since I was about 13 (~25 years ago). I used to wait each month for the National Geographic to come just to see the photo ads.
My all time favorite photographer has to be Ansel Adams. His books on photography (The Camera, The Negative, The Print, among others) have long been staples of my reading.
I started with a Minolta X-700 and progressed to Nikon gear. I still have my old FG...works like a charm. I spent a lot of time when I was younger in school in a darkroom developing film and printing (mostly B/W).
I like taking sports photography and nature photography (especially waterfalls).
I spend most of my time now shooting large format with a Sinar and an old Graflex. There is something about large format that I can't duplicate in digital yet. I like having to setup the camera and the lens, think about the exposure, the framing, what I want the photo to accomplish, etc.
I don't develop and print much anymore, I usually send the film out to be developed then scan, photoshop, and send it out again to be printed digitally.
