I first altered the shadows to give them more strength which i think improves he 3D feel of the shot.
Next I altered the contrast to give the blue and green more strength which again I think it adds something to the power of this super landscape.
TFS
I hope you like my alterations.

Your original looks really nice but I wanted to do some small adjustments. I did following things in PS:
- Auto contrast
- Added a bit saturation and darkened mid-tones, too
- Added black frame
- Sharpened by smart sharpen
I hope you find it useful.
Cheers!

I didn't want to change the composition in any way, but I noticed that the file size was only 55k. I've got a Nikon D70 myself and notice that it comes back with a grey tinge to all but the most brightly lit photos. Didn't seem to suit a all white sausage shop though.
I used Adobe Photoshop PS to narrow the levels in the photo, bringing the right side up for brightness, but also lowering on the left side to avoid being washed out. I also used the Unsharp mask on it at 120%, radius 1.8, threshhold 3. Just enought to make his whiskers clear. I think I could have went sharper yet, but thought you may prefer a softer look. I noticed that your original was jut 55K. I saved at a higher resolution when done. You might think about upping the resolution on your jpegs when shooting. You can always squeeze them down later, but it's tougher to get back fine detail afterwards.
Anyway, none of this is to say that it wasn't a fine photo to begin with. I like very much and hope you don't mind the ws.

the aim was to enhance both men in the foreground.
hope you like it.

sharpened twice (not sure itīs better) coz i would like to enhance the lines in the womanīs face.
the original light - due to the latitude of the country - is rather hard to work with.
hope i havenīt betrayed your original idea.
thanks for the opportunity.
