just a quick workshop.
I cropped away the black for it added nothing to the scene, then shifted the hues to make the sky feel different.
There was nothing wrong with the original hues, this conveys a different feeling, that's all.

To make the piture ligther I did a little gamma correction- level- contrast-color. I thought it would look better with more light- so hpoe you like it.

Cropped a little the sky

Altered the white balance to remove the blue cast by using levels and clicking on the grey of the side of the belltower in the shade.

Cropped to create a more pleasing composition

Used curves to add some contrast.
