I think the strength of your photo is in the manacing nature of the sky. To capture the immensity of nature's power against this tiny boat I opted for a radical cropping to eliminate the beach altogether. The beach itself is very nice but its peaceful setting steals from the theme of awesome power that I saw in your picture.I also increased the cloud contrast slightly.I hope you don't mind my experiment :-)

1. Corrected the horizon rotating 0.85 degrees.

2. Cut the top.

3. Applied what should be autolevels in PS (I'm using TheGimp).

4. Contrast added.

(Added): HUH! Forget to crop the sides after rotation! It seems I can't repost it. Sorry folks!
