Ok, I did following steps:

First, downloaded and cropped with a ration of 8:5,3

1) selected the white stripes of the flag --> selection extended +1 pixel --> control + L and corrected the shadows there
2) selected the blue stripes of the flag --> increased saturation +6% --> corrected the shadows here
3) selected the blue background and darkened the shadows (control + L again)
4) sharpened
5) Neated
6) white frame added (first black and then the second one +1pixel in white)

That's all. I hope this is helpful for you.

The same Pagliai beach, taken in August, but in the afternoon, when the sun has jet abandoned the sand. As you can see the colors are more delicate, but the transparency of the water is still perfect and the little paradise perfectly quiet.

I simply cut away the horizon line and a little bit of the left border to keep the proportions... but I don't like the result... it seems "ungraceful" someway!
