Well, if like you, I didn't like the hydrant, I swear that I would clone it :). With a little extra work I would do something about those shadows too (you know, I'm crazy). So I did and hope you find it funny at least :)

This is another view of the fountain located in the middle of the Plaza Constitucion in Montevideo.
I selected the other view as a main upload because here the fountain is completely lost among the trees. Yet it helps you to imagine better the place.

I corrected the histogram and applied, levels, curves and shadows/highlights and then, and after reducing the noise, I resharpened and framed the image.

I have changed the contrast through Lab mode. It changed less the colours than through the usual contrast adjustement in photoshop.
