i thought it could be good to bring ducklings out of the water. their colour was ame as water's so i changed some colour levels and enchanced colours contrasts.

however i believe it still need some touch - it might be too dark now. but anyway.

it was really worth bread crumbs :)

F-16, 1/125, fill flash. This is full frame.
As the sun was only out for a little of the time, most of the photos were taken using flash.

I did some levels and curves in ps, I know that the water are bright but you can see all the details on the bird, hope you will like it.

Bente-I adjusted the levels , sharpened in lab color U. S. M. 100,2,3.I adjusted the white using curves and finally framed .

i took out the fuzzy branch..anything not in focus in a subject like this can downgrade a really good shot as this is...didnt make it too well on the tail..apologies.

I only did a very light sharpening. Not much changed by this, but I think the water surface appears more reflecting now. Hope you don't mind me trying.

Purpose: Eliminate noise, bring image up

No hitech technique here...
Just a Blur Tool in different sizes (2px-150px) and background blur to eliminate high noise.
Some UM on the birds -and birds eye- to bring foreward.

Well Ive had a go as well romoved the other rook and its shadow with clone tool.
then set about the nearest wing to see if i could harden it up a bit.
1)zoomed in to single pixel size to see detail better
2) burntool at 75% along the finger like end feathers to darken them.
3) cloned out some fuzy black ( think this was motion blurr) inbetween them with green from the grass.
that done applied a touch of the followingSaturation +9 Lightness -9 brightness +4 and contrast +6
a light touch of Unsharpmask 54% X0.8px radius X threshold 1
hope you like its not as good as I was Hopping for on the wing end but think works?

Evening Bente just found this one ,thought it needed just a touch of brighteningon the left side of the spider.
Started by using magic wand to select the legs, body and head on bottom left side, then within these selections adjust the brightness +17% and saturation +5%, lightness +8% .
deselect and +15% saturation to whole picture and Unsharp mask 46% X0.8% X threshold 1
resize image to 800px X 72dpi
save to web @197.5K.
