Cropped the bottom of the shot to make the photo appear more like the original 35mm shot. Cropping so it looks like it wasn't cropped is my dirty little secret.

I cropped and rotated the image just slightly. For me it's better to crop out the man on the right side to focus on the left side of the image. The five layers work better in my opinion after the crop so the eye works in a circle from subject to subject, especially drawing more attention to the kids all the way in the back, framed between the the somersault and the one throwing something.

Toned to be b/w and resemble Ilford 400. The actual image was shot on 1600 ISO. The D3's noise control is fantastic. :)

Two things bothered me about the original photo. The bright orange shirt and the pink plate. That's why I turned it into B/W, something that's inconsistent with the rest of the series.

Cropped and played with the curves for more contrast. The highlights on the side bugged me too much and you don't need his entire back in the frame to see the sweat beads.

I dodged the hightlights of all the hands and feet at %15. I also burned the shadows at 3% of the clothing to bring out more texture.

I cropped out a lot of the photo, dodged her face and body, adjusted levels, USM, and then added a border.
