The porblem here is the poor exposure. The darks are too darn and the lights are burnt out. An alteration of contrast and brightness allows the detail to show through in both light and dark areas. This is an example of the dangers of auto-exposure.

I cropped heavily but tried to keep some foliage on top. I then decreased brightness and increased highlight. i went to selective colours and increased the "blackness' for white in order to further cut the glare on the window. Then I sharpened the image by 30%.
