| Intro: | My 2 analog Nikon Cameras (F801 and FA)(together with a wounderful 80-200/2,8 zoom) had been stolen on a trip to Chile in 2001. So I first bought a Olympus C40Z compact digital in 2002 and after agonizing doubt I decided to turn 100% digital acquiring a Minolta Dimage 7Hi (I needed a 28 mm lens). Taking the picture is for me the biggest part of the fun. So, digitally reworking the pictures on the computer is not so much my thing. It takes sooooo much time. I mainly make pictures on my regular far away holidays. Our Patagonia-trip was in Nov-2004. In June 2005 we travelled through Java and Bali. Meanwhile my Minolta's sensor broke down in august 2006. Instead of repairing it (3years in digital matters seems to be very old !) I bought a Nikon D80 + lens 18-200mm (digital). I just love the anti-shake feature of this lens. In November 2006 our destination was China (Guangxi&Guizhou province) and Northern Vietnam. March 2007: We have decided on our next big trip: MALI (november 2007) Does anyone have intresting suggestions? We travel just the 2 of us, using public transport. Dogon is on the list as well as Djene and Timbouctou. | |
