| Intro: | TE is for me the best place to upload & share my travel photos. Got into digital photography about two years ago. I am basically a travel photographer ... shooting holiday photos for my record & memory. I'm happy to have the opportunity to share & learn from photos on TE. I have learned quite a bit since my first posting. From now you will see a mix of new & old travel photos. I'm in the process of digging out my old film negatives for scanning and post processing. Hopefully I will be able to restore those images to their former condition or better (I mean now you have more control over the exposure or color level instead of the machine at the photo shop making the decisions for you). I do not have the analog Minolta XGM camera I had used anymore. Finally found a printing shop that can scan the negatives up to 22 MB in TIFF file using a Kodak 500 HR Plus Scanner which gives better result than the scanners at the earlier two photo printing shops I tried. For cost reason I'm having my negatives scanned at 15 MB. A lot of clean up work on the scanned images but I enjoy working on the old shots - they bring back many pleasant memories. |
