First I slightly corrected the perspective usin the crop tool. The I tried to correct the "barrelize" effect, using a special debarrelizer plug-in for PS. Because of the low resolution of the picture I lost something of the original photo's great sharpness. I also had to remove (unfortunately) the frame. Hope you like it.

In photoshop CS2 there is a adjustment filter where you can darken the brightest highlights and also bring up more details from the dark shadows. I hope you like the workshop. This helps spread the lighting a little more evenly in the scene.
