Intro: Before retiring a few years ago, I spent twenty or so years travelling the world on business, usually with a camera, and, like many people I know, I have many boxes of slides and print films from those times (I now have a film scanner and am bringing some of those days back to life).

I bought a Kodak DC290 early in the life of digital cameras, and enjoyed it - even took some nice photos - although it never really gave me that same "old feeling".

Before an Antarctic holiday at the end of 2004, I took the advice of a friend and bought a Nikon D70, and the "old feelings" came right back. I love the camera and the Antarctic trip was the most amazing in more than thirty years of travel.

Now I've discovered the Trek websites.
