| Intro: | Hello Visitor, Every picture has a story to tell, my reason for taking a photo is to pass on the story to the reader. I also try to tell the way I see a picutre in my writeup for a picture. I feel that a picture without a frame and a writeup is like a body without a soul. I only attempt to critique/comment on a photo which has a note with it, and I expect visitors to my pictures to do the same. I can remember as a child taking pictures with my father's Yashica Electro 35mm Film Camera. The anticipation with which I would wait for thr prints to come out is still vivid and clear in my memory. Then for about 10 years there was a calm, I found myself busy scoring university education and a carreer. Last year during treatment for a medical condition, I needed to find a distraction and I took refuge in Photography. I bought myself a point and shoot big zoom digital camera. It didnt take me long o grow out of it and on a trip to Hong Kong I bought my first Digital SLR and I absolutely love it. Nostalgia sometimes drive me to take the old Yashica out for a snap or two but the D40 is definetly my primary camera. I joined TrekEarth last year and I have learnt greatly from critiques and comments and I always welcome critiques. I hope to learn from people and maybe teach them a thing or two. But one thing is certain. I am loving every bit of this photographic journey. Hope you like my gallery. | |
