(1748) [2006-09-28 10:47:09] [1] | With Photoshop, selecting the color of the sky I made two layers of this picture: one with the head of the animal and one with sky.
Layer head: changed the level to correct the underexposition and sharpened a little.
Layer sky: changed also the levels but not so much as on the other layer (I like blue skies). Applied also gaussian blur to the sky to eliminate noise (altough there was not very much)
Finaly merged the layers. |

(1748) [2006-08-26 03:48:52] [4] | First I increased contrast just applying "automatic colors" with Photshop. I increase slightly the saturation too. The blue background becomed then too dark, almost black. It was a good contrast for the white feathers but not for the black ones. With the tool "replace color" I increased slightly the light of the blue. I think that the birds stand out better now.
Then I applied also the sharp mask with 225% and 0.3 dots.
Perhaps I overdid with the saturation. The beaks and legs are maybe too red but I hope you like it so. |
