| Intro: | Most of my professional life has involved creating images with words, not cameras, but I've long enjoyed photography for the sheer fun of it. I'm not sure whether that started way back when a great aunt gave me an old Kodak Brownie box camera. But I'd definitely caught the bug by the time I bought my first "real" camera, a Canon AE-1 program, more than 20 years ago. I still have the 35 mm, and it can't be beat for some things. But I'm increasingly fond of the flexibility and instant results of digital photography. I'm now on my fourth digital camera in the past several years (thanks to some opportunities to use the camera on the job), each with increasing quality and resolution. I've learned a little something from each. I also enjoy posting on TrekNature and TrekLens. I'm continuing to learn. Your critiques, workshops, and any other inputs are appreciated. |
