Intro: be a traveller, not a tourist

this is the mantra of my favorite travel show: globe trekker. and I fully agree and believe in that as well. when I travel, its funny when people started asking me why I don't what to be "in the picture" and start making poses... :) roftl. travel photos shouldn't be a proof that you been there and done that. for me, its more important that at least, even temporarily, you felt that you are part of the place. just like when you know the twists and turns of roads in your hometown. even just for a fleeting moment, you felt you belong. and photos should evoke that feeling once the vacation fever has long passed gone and you are already back at your desk infront of the monitor. however, occassionally, I give in, and pose for the picture... :)

with digital photography, im proud to say, I'm just a beginner. just recently bought my dslr and have just started "learning" to do this and that... but I'm excited. I have a long way to go, but just like in every travel, i'll soon get there and that makes me equally excited.
