(289) [2004-12-06 05:12:32] | I liked the angle and the shot, but ithink the fllowing bring out the best of this foto.
What i did was:
- correct the horizon (1,5 degrees CW)
- a little crop to remove the border due to the previous step. I have also trid to use the 1/3 of the bottom for the sand and the top 1/3 fot the sky.
-Desaturated the image for the strinking colours and adjusted the colours balance.
Hope you like the outcome |

Crop, re-size, desaturate, border, USM | cgrindahl
(6103) [2004-11-02 02:35:25] [1] | | I cropped to bring the focus in on the woman holding her child. Were I working with the original rather than a jpeg file I probably would have cropped even tighter. I opted for black and white with a sepia filter since color, both in the sky and the palm trees seemed out of place with the poverty represented by this home and these conditions. I resized, added a touch of noise, added a border and applied Unsharpen Mask in an effort to bring a bit of definition to the degraded image. I know this is a very different rendition of this subject Jordi, but I was motivated by the wonderful black and white images you've given us in the past. I hope you like it. |

(944) [2004-09-14 22:29:45] [2] | First I had the feeling that the photo was banking on the left side... so I rotated the canvas by 1,2 degree. I croped to compensate for the rotation.
Then, I ajusted the levels, contrast/brightness and the sharpness. |
