Here is the original simply resized as it came off the camera. I was surprised to see what could be achieved by applying Paint Shop Pro to it. Any ideas to improve it even further would be welcome.

Hi Lars, i tried a bit of everything just for fun. Hope you don't mind. First I rtoated half a degree, then I cropped, the I clarified and saturated, then I added a border and resized and finally I used a noisefilter. It doesn't change much but I think at least the cropping did some good. Hilsen, Per

I tried to replace the sky but gor a white edge around the tower. This I tried to soften but I didn't succeed completely. I also sharpened a bit and applied unsharp mask. Hope you like it.

I simply ran it through the noisefilter from NeatImage, a freeware you can download from the web. Hope you like it.

First of all I cropped to eliminate that tilting wall on the left. Then I clarified and saturated. Finally I sharpened and remove digital noise. My idea was to bring out the darker parts without destroying the overall contrast and depth in the original. Hope you like it.

First of all I resized to the full 800 pixels. Then I cleaned up the sky with a clone tool. Then I clarified and saturated and adjust the colour balance (I found the bklue too dominating). Finally I cleaned it with a noisefilter and sharpened a bit. It only takes two to three minutes, and I hope you like it.

First I used a barrel distortion correction tool that I have in Paint Shop Pro, but you will find it in many programmes. It corrects the distortion that the lens will automatically create. After that I simply saturated the colours a bit and sharpened. Hope you like it.

I resized to 800 pixels to get as much as possible out of it on the monitor. Then I ran a noise filter to make the sky and the sand as smooth as possible. And finally I sharpened just a little bit, but that wasn't really necessary. Hope you like it.

The cropping was the most important thing, just to put the sun out to one side. But then I resized and discovered it needed filtering. So I ran a noise filter, and finally I couldn't resist a one-step-fix which changed the colours a bit. I think that was maybe too much. But this way your photo gave birth to a new photo. Cheers, Per

I use Paint Shop Pro but you can use any tool, even some freeware tools are good. First I rotated one degree to the left, then I enhanced contrast and colour saturation and sharpness, after that I cloned out the hand on the left, and before adding the frame I enlarged as much as it could take. Hope you like it. Per
