Simple retouch.
My tasted are going a bit darker. If i had a chance, i will waiting 1 more hour until the dim light surrounded the desert. But, i didnt got enough time waiting the sun till set, i will make it up in PS. Here the result.

put sharpening tools, burning and dodging at water splash. The result, the effect of water splash now are more appealing.

Boost the red yellow colour, and put more dark to create mood.

Now u have a postcard picture, or just an wallpaper for the PC.
Darken the sky, put extra blue colour, burning the grass, dodging the lion, and last put black wide frame with your name on it. Enjoy then :-)

The most difficult part of this shot:
1) The main object (buffalo's and the gank) have a same dark colour with BG. It makes the buffallo unattended.
2) The lighting have to bright, and the they stay under the heavy shade of the trees.

Here i made a little adjustment. The buffalo now become more appealing, and the other bright side which had a direct sun ray, now are getting dark.

I took the trees at the left and brushing out the sky and make it darker.
