| Intro: | I got interested in photography about 15 years ago. I started with a Ricoh XR SLR (Pentax mount), but at a certain point lost interest in photography. Two and a half years ago we got our Olympus C4000, and from then on I've had more fun taking photos than ever. Being able to experiment as much as I want to has been a very liberating experience! About two months ago I got a DSLR, because I thought that the Oly C4000, good as it is, is just too slow to take photos of our 5-month-old daughter. If she is not asleep, she is moving all the time, so you need a fast camera with low light abilities. I also have an account on Treklens, "frank", and post more photos there, because I quite like photographic categories that are not appropriate for Trekearth, like macro and portrait photography. The photographs one can find here are incredibly good at times and it is a great opportunity for learning. It's a great community and I am glad that I am able to participate! Frank |
