- A long time ago, when I was a child, I imagined what it would be like if I could blink my eyes and permanently impress that moment into my brain.
"Camera on" I thought "camera off" and there I'd have a perfect record that I'd be able to recall at any time.
Technology is still a few years way from being able to wet wire photographic memory. In the meantime, cameras have filled the void.
I try to keep my photography simple. What is available to the camera at the moment with (hopefully) a minimal amout of manipulation if possible. A sort of "What You See Is What You Get" perspective.
What I look to capture, and what I look for in other's images, are stories. Those little emotive moments and icons that speak to us.
The other thing I look for are differences in the way people see things. The idea that we all have a different way of filtering what we see is fascinating.
TL, TE & TN are remarkable forums for sharing creative vision, receiving feedback, and learning about our world through each others vision. I'm thankful for the opportunity to participate in this process.
