Hi there Fernando, I liked your image but I felt it was too light and washed out looking. To correct this I darkened and increased contrast using curves. I then increased the saturation of the whole image by 33% and then the green by a further 30%. I then created a new layer so that I could adjust the brightness of the end of the pump in particular which I feel has worked nicely. I also cropped away the bright and distracting sky portion.

Well, this is my first posting to Workshop so I hope you all approve of what I've done!

I felt the composition on this photograph was good but that the picture lacked contrast. The background and the dog were very much the same shade of grey. I wanted to lighten the background but also increase the contrast to add more definition to the landscape.

Firstly, I 'Sharpened Edges' to the dog and increased the brightness/contrast by +10 and +14 respectively. To the background I adjusted the 'Levels' to lighten the landscape whilst leaving the dog the same. Afterwards I turned the image into a Duotone of black and PANTONE 474 and then resaved it as an RGB JPG. I felt the image benefitted by the having a warmer, brown hue as opposed to the colder grey of the original. The alterations I've made are only small ones because I felt the original image was so nearly there, but I hope you think the result is an improvement.

Due to the fact that I have saved this image as an RGB instead of a greyscale JPG, I had to decrease the size of the image by 5% to get it under the 200k limit.
