- I'm a 30-something engineer/adventurist wannabe. I've been interested in photography and art since my early teens. I used to do landscape oil painting but found that it took too much time. With photography I find that I can capture more of the world that I see and still have time to go ski, windsurf and ride my bike. Unfortunately now that I have small kids I do very little of any of those. :(
I started getting serious with photography with an analog SLR after university but found that I was too stingy with film and so I was too restrained. Learning was slow. Now with digital, I've been let loose! Until just recently, I've been using a very automatic point and shoot which I found to be adequate if not a bit limiting. My choices were zoom in, zoom out, flash on, flash off. I wasn't able to be too creative with the light but then again, I didn't get too many bad shots. My value added with that camera was my timing and composition. Now that I have my 350D, I am able to be more creative and I am amazed at how many bad pictures I take! Well, it's all for the sake of learning.
I grew up in the United States but now I live in Spain outside of Barcelona. My time in Spain is limited so I am trying to capture as many memories as possible. I hope you enjoy my shots!
