Here I tried adding the black frame to accentuate high contrast going on within the frame even more. I also adjusted the image itself by reducing brightness and adding some extra contrast (in PS, Image/Adjustments/Brightness/Contrast...):
1. Brightness -30
2. Contrast +20

Hope it works as one of possibilities...

What I did: First I selected the color temperature I thought looked best (white balance), then I saved the RAW file as a JPEG to edit in Photoshop. In Photoshop I did a levels adjustment for the sky to make it darker, then I did a levels adjustment on the water to create a little more contrast. I probably played around with the colors but I can't remember. Then I cropped it and that’s all. I actually like the way Luis cropped it a lot better.

This mother and cubs were photographed in the same place on Mt. Washburn as the other bears only two months earlier (June 2007). It is thought that perhaps this mother died somehow and the other grizzly adopted these two cubs along with her own.

increased the output gamma to 1.18 from 1.00 and sharpened +1. Not really worth doing wksp, but as I was messing with it already I thought I'd upload it into your wksp. Kind Regards, Leilani
