Intro: I divide my time between my hometown of Ennis in County Clare, Dublin where I currently work, and a lot of other places in between!

I was first introduced to photography during a previous existence as an archaeologist, where I was required to record archaeological features using invariably battered and muddy 35mm SLRs. Since then, photography has become an extension of my hillwalking, mountain-biking and mountaineering activities.

Although I've gone digital in the last couple of years, my favourite camera is still my old Olympus OMG, which I bought second-hand as a student over a decade ago. I retouch photographs only very rarely and reluctantly, as I prefer my shots to capture a moment as it was, not how I wanted to be!
