Here in the picture you have posted my focus as an audience would be on the blue bird since that is the center of the whole picture the angle should be such that it was given more space if not you can still play around with color to give the bird more importance and that is exactly what i am trying to show here. More over when framing your picture always use contrasting colors which differentiates the image from the Frame.

I must say a good try and an awesome concept.

1. Rotated clockwise 1.7
2. Cropped left to remove the person 'off' camera.
3. Increased contrast +9. Brightness -3.

I have made the following modifications.....

1. Cropped and re-sized.
2. Adjusted brightness, contrast and sharpness.
3. Adjusted color balance.
4. Adjusted level.
5. Adjusted light and shadow.
6. Filled the blank ares with clone tool
and by changing different layers.
7. Added a frame.

It was suggested by a viewer member that the photo was not straight. I relooked at it and yes they were right. Thus I did a workshop on this and adjusted the alignment. I added a border as well.

I've tried to do my vision of your another beautiful photograph.

Photoshop 7.0:
1) a bit brightness and contrast
2) a bit levels
3) crop
4) the frame

I hope this is a useful alternative.
