The thin fabric in the bright light held some details. By applying another layer using "hard light", we can get a peak inside. I was wondering what she was carrying for the past month before I did this by accident!

While I do like the softness of the original, I've done a curves adjustment (using three points) and some slight cropping to bring some more vibrance into this tranquil bicycle at rest.

Adjusted levels using auto-levels to get the snow white and desaturated a bit to correct for the white balancing by using a monocrhome channel mixing layer

The camera meter would have seen the bright sky and white statue, which it exposed for; however, it didn't know they should be bright and white. Here's an adjustment of the levels that puts things back the way they probably were. I hope you find it useful.

I like the photo, but the boat is a little too bright. I've simulated what a graduated neutral density filter would have done by selecting the bottom half of the image, feathering it 50 pixels and then darkening it.

I've done three things here:
- removed the yellow tinge by lightening the yellow hue
- did an adjustment curves
- and contrast mask technique to bring out the details in the shadows while leaving the black in place

I adusted the white point for levels, then did a slight curve adjustment (using just one point in the middle) and then did a bit of blur on the sky smooth it out
