Normally, human eyes always attracted by the bright area. Its a nature things of our habit, and proven everytime we saw a picture on TV or movie, we always moving the eyes through a bright side. Ur pics basically are perfect. The thing i should put a notification, that a bright scale on main object are almost the same value with the sky cast. Here i made a change the brightness value on BG, and now i let human eyes rolled ito the castel as main object rather than watching the bright sky cast on BG. Cheers :-)

Avec Adobe PE2 j'ai augmenté légèrement la saturation générale des couleurs.

I added contrast and lightness and then readjusted colour saturation. Also cropped close to the bread to take away the distraction of the table edge as much as possible. Then added frame and shadow. Hope you like it! I unfortunately had to reduce the size of the pic for TE restrictions.

Cropped, greyscale, duotone with black/brown/white, contrasts and finally "add noise"...
They have a hard days work, why not make the pic a bit rough too...? :)

Thanks for letting me post this! I really hope you like it. I was limited to the editing programs, since I was not on my computer!

To edit this image I used SmartDraw Photo (its very basic). First what I did was increase the contrast by 50 and darkened it by 10. Second, I added 5 yellow. Lastly I just sharpened the entire image (cant remember by how much).

That's it. I think the colours are a bit more intense, while the pollution is still very visible. I really hope you find this workshop helpful. I enjoyed doing it. Let me know what you think!

I hope you don't mind my doing a little workshop on your photo. I wanted to bring more attention to the different characters.

I cropped your photo. Ran autolevels on it. Then applied an unsharp mask.

I worked on the photographer's wish to have the heads on the foreground removed by cropping. It also works it loses some dynamic elements like the hands on the central character and the other soldier behind. Sharpening the photo (unsharp mask 50%) in Photoshop brought out the ham in the middle though.

I thought your picture was a little bit dull so i ran maniupulated the levels a bit with Photoshop (autolevels + some fine adjustments using Image -> Levels).
