| Intro: | My photo gallery regularly updated. Düzenli güncellenen kişisel fotoğraf galerim -------------------------------------------------- 1976 yılında Gazimağusa 'da (KKTC) doğdum. Üniversite eğitim için gittiğim Türkiye 'de hayatımı kurdum. İstanbul 'da yaşıyorum. Uluslararası medikal bir firmada çalışıyorum. Fotoğrafa 1994 yılında başladım. Dönem dönem fotoğraftan uzaklaşsamda dijital teknoloji ile tekrar dört elle sarıldım. Son dönemlerde belgesel fotoğraf üzerine yoğunlaştım ve kendimce uzun soluklu diyebileceğim projeler oluşturuyorum. Canon 5D ve Canon 1Ds Mark II kullanıyorum. Dijital teknolojide Canon 'un üstünlüğüne inanıyorum. Biraz dar bir bakış açısı olabilir ancak Canon beni hiçbir zaman yarı yolda bırakmadı :)) En sık kullandığım lensim Canon 16-35 f2.8. Tavsiye ederim. Şuan KKTC 'de "Apostolos Andreas", İstanbul 'da "Banliyö" adlı iki proje için fotoğraf çekiyorum. Banliyö projesinde sevgili arkadaşım Nuran ile beraber çalışıyorum. Kıbrıs benim sığınağım. Zaman buldukça mutlaka hem ailemi ziyaret etmek hemde kafa dinlemek amacıyla gidiyorum. Kıbrıs 'ı özlüyorum. Favori fotoğrafçılarım: Sıradışı renkleri ve bence çok cesur kadrajları ile Alex Webb. Diğer favori fotoğrafçım ise bakış açısı ile beni delirten Nikos Economopoulos (her ne kadar Kıbrıs 'da çektiği fotoğrafı çok popülist bulsamda. Bu işini değerlendirme dışı bırakıyorum). Özellikle bu iki fotoğrafçının atölyelerine katılmayı çok isterim. Türkiye 'de saygı duyduğum ve işlerini sevdiğim fotoğrafçılar tabi ki Ara Güler, fotoröportaj ve gezi yazıları ile Özcan Yurdalan, belgesel fotoğrafın ruhunu kelimelere dökebilen ve birikimi ile sayılı kişilerden birisi olan Haluk Çobanoğlu (ayrıca belgesel fotoğrafı bana sevdiren hocam) işte böyle. -------------------------------------------------- I was born in Famagusta, in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. I came to Turkey for education and now I live in Istanbul. I work in an international medical company. I have been interesting in photography since 1994. This interest has been clipped in time, but I went into photography wholeheartedly again with digital technology. Recently I am interested in documentary photography, and now I take picture for my projects. I use Canon 5D and Canon 1Ds Mark II. I always trust Canon, and maybe I am narrow-minded, but I believe that Canon is the best in digital photography. My favourite lens is Canon 16-35 f2.8. Cyprus is my shelter, my home. I visit my homeland very frequently. I want to note that I believe an equal agreement between Greek and Turkish sides in Cyprus. But on the otherhand, I believe that Greek government misleads everyone, and encourages Greek fanaticism in Cyprus. This will never help peace in Cyprus. I want to remind that in 2004 there was a referendum for Greek and Turkish sides in Cyprus. Both side voted Annan Plan for peace. And Turkish side voted as YES for peace and Greek side NO. This was the first and the unique referendum in Cyprus history for peace. One of my project is about the reflection of this referendum to both population. My favourite photographers are Alex Webb with his extraordinary colors and moments, and Nikos Economopoulos with his exceptional vision make me crazy (by the way, I consider one of photos of Nikos very populist that took in Cyprus) In Turkey, Ara Guler, I am always respect for him and his photos. Ozcan Yurdalan with his documentery photos and unique travel notes, Haluk Cobanoglu; for me he is one of the best documentery photographer, who can deeply explain the spirit of this field and makes the words understandable.
