Intro: I live in Austin, Texas, USA, but my favorite city is Tokyo. I started taking photos in college in 1988 using my dad's Minolta X-700. I learned the basics of slr camera operation and also spent some time in the darkroom developing and printing in black & white. After college, I got a bit busy, and spent less and less time on photography.

It wasn't until I moved to Tokyo in 1996 that I became interested in photography once again. I got my X-700 tuned up at the camera shop, and started shooting with slide film. Tokyo was such a great city to take photos in. So much to see!! And since you are not trapped in a car, there are plenty of opportunities for some great street photography.
