| Intro: | Hello everyone, After one year of membership I decided to write something about myself... I guess being too busy, or lazy, or just having felt a bit of an outsider... I am from Hungary, but living in China for already almost 3 years. I am working as an English and Linguistics teacher here, and also trying to study Chinese hard. Languages are very interesting for me, so China is a good place because of the uniqueness of language and also for its amazing photographicality. I love photography, but I am far from good... So I am interested in your opinions and critiques, I hope this could help me to improve and I also hope this site helps me to share something with you, which is my dream. I started taking photos when I was around 11, with a very old Russian Zenit, then I used an old Pentax film one, which I still love, but because of the great distance between China and Hungary, poor old one is still at my home, I really miss her sometimes. The last 2 years I started to shoot with a digital SLR (Canon D20), which I am still not so satisfied about... I really like taking cultural shots, especially about people, I almost never take landscapes photos, or very rarely, I always feel the result is not good enough comparing to real life, then what is the point of taking photos? I would like to learn though... I saw so many nice shots here, so I always liked just to browse through. Till now I didn`t write so many critiques, because I feel you need some time in a site, to get the feeling of it, then you can start, I feel now I am ready... Thanks for commenting and viewing my pics, I appreciate them a lot, I especially value those ones which are a bit more harsh.:) | |
