(943) [2008-06-03 00:22:32] [1] | I adjusted the levels, each channel seperately to minimize the magenta in the image. I then desaturated the water slightly so as to give it a more natural look and finally resized.
I hope you like it and it was useful to you.
Cheers. |

 Contrast Masking Layer | PJE
(18299) [2006-10-14 21:49:24] [4] | | This place is amazing to capture Alford. I hope to see this place some day. I took the exposure and added a contrast masking layer to bring out the range of tones in this scene. I tried to darken the floor where the light is the brightest and brighten the sides where reflected light brings wonderful details. Then I applied a little of smart sharpen to highlight some details. Excellent composition. Hope you like the workshop. Thanks for posting! |

 color correction | trinko
(2928) [2006-09-22 14:25:45] [1] | all work in photoshop
1) used levels to increase contrast by moving the black point to the right on the histogram
2) selected the sky with magic wand tool
3) inverted selection
4) sharpened
5) used levels to fix what i think is a color cast--unless this is a sunset shot. i picked a rock about 1/2 up the left side of the picture near to the left edge as the white reference. after that fix the image looks like the colors are closer to what i'd expect |
