Intro: I grew up in Germany and now live in Southern California for over 10 years.

This is my first experience with "photo-websites". I enjoy looking at the photographs on TrekEarth. The quality of the photography is astonishing in every respect. The number of photo enthusiasts with exceptionally developed eyes here is amazing. It is great to see how Digital Photography is making Photography ever more available as a serious hobby.

In the past I was a strong opponent of the use of Photoshop; I favored E6 film and my pictures came out of the camera correctly framed and ready to use. Today, Photoshop became part of my pictures, I learned to accept it and to appreciate it. However, I still believe it is best used conservatively.
