- About Myself
I had shot primarily with film, but when I borrowed my wifes digital, I was impressed and purchased one for myself. I really like the convenience and quality of the images, not to mention that I can shoot a lot more (with a big memory) than I would with film. Presently, I let the automatic features of the camera prevail, but I am slowly getting used to the manual operation and had started using manual settings more often.
I am foremost a painter, but since joining TrekEarth (as well as TrekLens and TrekNature) my interest in photography as an art form has increased, and with the help of the Trek family, so have my skills.
Previously, I used photography as a support medium for my other artistic pursuits in painting, drawing and printmaking.
There is much to learn here, and I am looking forward to your critiques as well as looking at your work.
For a view of my artwork, check my website. Giclee prints of my art work and photo manipulations can also be seen at Otto Rapp at Fine Art America.
News: In January 2009, I had started a Private Network of Visionary Artists on the Ning Plarform. Since then, the Membership has steadily grown and includes some of the very best Visionary Artists in the Universe. While the site itself is only accessable to members, selections from the site are available (as embedded slide shows) for viewing on my website: VISIONARY ART SHOWCASE.
