- By trade and perhaps even calling, I teach. I am also passionate about photography. Both represent acts of potential creative expression, which in some sense, compliment each other.
The “suchness” of things is a term from Buddhism that describes the inherent qualities of an object, event, or even an experience, in its pure form, apart from someone’s interpretations of them. From this perspective, despite our best intentions and efforts, photographs and words are but meek expressions of the essence of the suchness of things. In my photography, I try to narrow that gap as much as possible.
My photographs depict some recent travels and studies of human conditions. For me, nature is a sanctuary and people are my teachers; both impermanent and rich with material. Here is what I saw, or at least experienced, as I was seeing. - Member Since
