I first used auto curves (auto because I don't know the colours as you will). Then I boosted the contrast to a better level which also makes it easier to see the afflicted areas. For the spots on the road and tyres I simply used a very soft clone brush with the aligned box checked. to copy similar areas of road and trye over the necessary parts. For the truck body I used the freehand selection tool and made a rough selection of the individual areas needing treatment. To soften the transmission on this size image I also selected a feather of 5 pixels. Then layer>new adjustment layer>levels and check the box marked "use previous layer etc". Ok it and adjust the midtone and shadow sliders to suit. Repeat in other areas as necessary, finish off with a little sharpening.

Just a quick one, not much done.
I used the shadow/highlight tool in PS to bring out more color of the monkeys' fur. I also adjusted the color balance slightly towards red/yellow.

I love the inclusion of the Gullet foresail in this shot. I plumbed it up with "distort' and adjusted levels to remove apparant haze.
Have visited many of the same spots in Turkey and Thailand as you, an agree with many of your comments. Nice work.

Perhaps the original is taken at mid-day with bright sun.
Crop, magnetic lasso to isolate the upper half and adjusted curves, adjusted mid-tone levels on entire shot, saturation +12, frame.

A TE member has opened my eyes to Neat Image so which I hanve now used for this WS. What a differnce it makes on the graininesss of the balloons.

You'll see here that in this original photo the lighthouse was leaning quite a lot and i couldn't straighten it without the buildings around its base going wonky so that is why i decided on the border. Perhaps there is a technique to sort out all of the angles, but i am not too proficient with post processing.

I thought the sides were the least interesting part of the pic so I cropped it to include only the road, the sky, the white trunks and the figure. I think the vertical formal increases the perspective further and it also helps moving the figure out of 'dead center'.

Alas, the post is a 'lil small, but you get the idea.

Sharpened, added 25% saturation, dodged shadow areas, & applied gaussian blur in sky of 5 p, with feathering of 10. Added blue to sky & reduced cyan also. Hope you like it.

Added 70% blue to sky & gaussian blur 7.5 p. Added 30% cyan blue to water & red to the rock on left. Sharpened in APS. Hope you like it.
