Intro: I got into photography age 14, just about the time when (or because?) the Canon AE-1 came out. I worked my butts off during schoolholidays to be able to buy one. Even when digicams became affordable I stuck to my AE-1 and the various lenses and filters I bought over the years. I even bought a second hand one in 2003... when I got a SONY DSC F-717; that's when I decided to go digital. It's so rewarding not having to wait for the films to be developed and there's a lot you can do with a 5 Megapixels camera that's fully adjustable.
