I was interested to try the method used in another workshop, running a gaussian blur over a contrast adjustment layer. I took my own stab at this, plus my own approach to adjust tonal range and colors. I just acquired Neat Image, and enjoyed being able to make edits without fear of the noise (artifacts) sometimes created as a result.

I liked the combined results, and have learned from this experienced.

In terms of editing, I cropped and re-sized to attain better proportionality and appreciation of the scene, which is more about the field and less about the sky.
