- I was born in India but have been living in the US since 1999. I travel a lot and took up photography to record my travels. In 2000 I bought my first camera, a Minolta Freedom AF. I switched to digital in 2002 with the Sony P72. After joining trek earth in 2006, I was both impressed and encouraged to upgrade to a Digital SLR and bought a Canon Rebel XT in October 2006. Thanks to TrekEarth I get to learn about places around the world through pictures and have also been learning photography techniques and the use of filters, polarizers etc.
