It sames to me unnecessary in this photo the upper part. Your Note emphasyses the coconut. Now, I had do this, crop and framed.

0) cropped the frame
1) widen the image by 15%
2) VERY STRONG SHADOW/HIGHLIGHT CORRECTION (Amount 90%, Tonal Width=30%, Radius=1 pixel) => it is the first time I try such a strong combination!
3) Noise removal with Noise Ninja
4) Smart Sharpen (300% on 0.5 pixel)
4) Drop Shadow frame

i thought there was a little too much going on in the shot. i also thought that the players should be the subject and so, i cropped it tighter. it was hard to keep the ref's head because of his position.

i also played with the contrast/saturation/brightness just to bring it all out. overall, i think the tight crop makes it look more dynamic, like they're about to burst through the other side of the frame... but that's just me

First, cropped a little bit to get a panoramic view. Then applied auto color and played with contrast a little bit. Finally, added a frame.

Hope you don't mind my playing around with the colour filters on this otherwise fabulous piccy..! Just a small crop, a clone stamp of the birdie (a mistake?) and a tweak of the red balance to make the sea look even redder. Let me know what you think!
