Hi Jose Miguel, in this workshop I was looking to darken the shot a bit, yet still throw in some more contrast. To do this I first opened a levels layer and decreased the mid point to .80. I then created a standard slight s-curve for contrast, and added a slight bit of blue in the dark region. To accentuate the darker and lighter areas, I created an overlay layer and painted various areas with a 5% (black and white) opacity brush (equivalent to dodge and burn). Finally for the re-post I sharpened slightly with smart sharpen. I hope this meets with your approval. I have removed the copy from my terminal.

1) Reduce noise with Neat Image

2) With GIMP:
- cropping
- curves
- sharpen
