First I adjusted whole picture a little towards yellow. Then the rose towards red and leaves towards green. Cropped to a little lower framing.

I got inspired by Julias workshop... :-)
Mainly because I thought the image would look better if the flowers in the foreground were more in focus.

I had three shots prom the same POV. I chopped out the foreground and background from two different images and autostiched (www.autostitch.net) them together. The aim was to have a deeper DOF. I'd say autostitch did quite a good job. "Artefacts" of stitching are only visible in one place (yellow flowers out of focus), and that is because my choise of cutting up the images.

The flowers in the foreground were not spot on in focus, but got better. But I actually got the forrest in the background too much in focus. So I had to blur it in PS.

I cropped top and bottom, and happened to choose almost the same bottom crop as Julia. Although I earlier thought hers was a bit too tight. :-)

Then I did some heavy juggling with curves, hues, contrast and brightness. I'm particulary happy with the color on the flowers in the background to the left. Almost the main reason for posting this workshop, besides all the time it took me...

Was it worth the while? Probably not for the image. But I'm an experience richer now. :-)

I cropped the bottom part to remove the darker and out of focus flowers in the FG, giving more emphasis and space for the eye to wander around in the mid-background. I also added a little saturation before saving it for the web. I hope I didn't over-do it :-/
