Rangitoto Island, in the distance, is Auckland's youngest volcano. It is about 600-700 years old.

The island to the left of Rangi is Motutapu, and the water is the Hauraki Gulf.

Here is a close up of the Magnolia flowers. The leaves don't appear until after the flowers have started blooming.

OK, here is a try: square crop, and color balance (I found out that there is a slight blue dominance in your color).
Not too excited about the result, honestly, but...

To make larger shot sizes the copper sieve is replaced, however the maximum size is limited by the height of the tower because larger shot sizes must fall further to cool.

Hi Janice,
I really love the pic but, because I thought the colours were a little subdued, felt that a little PP work might make a difference. It was more of an experiment for myself but I liked the result enough to post as a workshop
Firstly I increased the saturation for the whole image. Next, I selected every area of the pic except the beach, the grass on the foreshore, and the wooden walkway and saturated the selection even further. Finally, I added just a little contrast. I hope you like the result.

This is Mt Victoria, one of the old volcanic cones of Auckland. There used to be a Maori Pa on the site, and you can see the terraces and pits that are still visible on the northern and eastern slopes.

I made it a little darker and greener just to experiment, perhaps I overdid it though.
