- Bit of an amateur me, but love taking pictures... Started using old Pentax ME about 10 years ago and progressed to a Nikon F80 and ME super. Got myself a few lenses and trying to build a portfolio by being a bit obsessed about capturing every shot I can when somewhere I am unlikely to go again, even if that is my back garden when I have found a new frog that narrowly missed being chewed by my lawnmower :) But Tooting, London, generally doesn't get me going, put it that way! But now I have managed to get myself a Nikon D200, I can experiment (the huge advantage of owning a digital SLR).
Been to a few places round the globe since taking pictures, next place is Siberia in the winter (yes, I am slightly mad as I am sure it must be minus 400 degrees there) to see my good TE friend Dari.

I look forward to posting some of my new 'digital' pictures in the near future, but if I'm somewhere special, the velvia will most certainly be coming back out to play! I'll b very pleasantly suprised if the D200 manages the same colours as a velvia film. Let's see....... - Member Since
